Load Safety is a legal requirement and choosing the correct load restraint to make this quick and easy for you, makes the job more stress-free.
To ensure your load is secure, keep in mind:
- The weight of the load
- The Size of the load
- Tie down points available
- Type of attachments
A great way to work out exactly what you need is to check the truck loading code on NZTA https://www.nzta.govt.nz/assets/resources/roadcode/truck-loading-code/docs/tlc.pdf
The most common way to lash your load is using a hook and keeper tie down. They are a great time saver, as once you have put the hook and keeper in place, they don’t fall off the point while you are lashing the load down. Having the correct length will save you time, so you don’t have to wind up extra lengths.
TransQuip sells a full range of loading equipment including tie downs, chain, hooks, twitches, corner boards and lashing accessories.
